Town goalscorer Daryl Murphy admitted that the Blues could have found themselves further behind at half-time during Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest. Danny Collins put the visitors in front in the fourth minute with Murphy equalising 12 minutes from time as Town improved after the break.

Town manager Mick McCarthy admitted that the Blues’ 1-1 home draw with Nottingham Forest was a fair result with the visitors having been on top in the first half. He felt his side improved after the break with Forest keeper Karl Darlow putting in an outstanding display.

Town fought back in the second half after a disappointing display before the break had seen them trailing to former loanee Danny Collins’s fourth minute goal at half-time.
